Endurance – A Sports and Psychology Center, Inc. organized the trip, sponsored byTrips for Kids. Kirsten Graves, a Registered Dietitian, led the trip with the assistance of a team of biking instructors from Trips for Kids. After the trip, a grandmother could not suppress her delight on seeing big smiles on the faces of the kids, including her granddaughter, who initially hadn't wanted to leave the house in the morning. And a mother who accompanied her children said that all her children enjoyed the trip, including the one who hadn't wanted to go.
When Dr. Nyamora heard about what parents were saying, he stated that this was one of the most important things about Endurance's activities as it helps parents and caregivers know that once their child comes out and gets active, they love it. He stated, "sometimes parents just have to make their children leave the house and experience all these activities and learn that they can have fun and accomplish all types of things including a challenging bike ride. And they get to meet some interesting people along the way. It's more fun than TV and video games." He is proud of all the families.

There was jubilation at Endurance-a Sports and Psychology Center following great success of its runners at the San Jose Half Marathon, California, on October 2, 2011. All the Endurance runners who took part in the competition completed the event, which attracted about 10,000 U.S. and international runners.
The excitement at Endurance is best captured by the mail to the runners from the Director, Dr. Cory Nyamora, who had coached the runners for 12 weeks.
READ THE MAIL BELOW.
Dear Half-Marathon Runners!!
Congratulations! You are all so amazing! I’ve had 12 wonderful weeks coaching all of you and I’m basking in the excitement of it all. First off, congratulations to our DC distance runners for an excellent rainy hilly run on October 1st . I’m so proud of you for completing it successfully and happily and sticking to all your training from a distance! I wish I could have been there to see your smiling faces, but I enjoyed hearing about it and look forward to more details. You were an inspiration to me and to our local runners who heard about your victory last night.
As for our local runners, today was an amazing day. I, and the rest of the Endurance crew, were privileged to be part of such a beautiful day. It was great to see you accomplish this momentous goal. You looked beautiful, strong and positive. You ran strong and steady and finished with big smiles. You are such great runners! And you all looked like you could have ran many more miles at the end. What a great accomplishment! Words don’t do justice to what you did today.
So, here’s what you have to do today – rest, stretch, eat, hydrate and bask in the glory of completing this goal. Write about it – many times endurance runners (like you!) write a race journal – just a brief write-up of your experience in the run today. It’s good to do it now when it’s fresh in your mind. So take some notes, send the journal and photos to us and your friends and family. Remember, not everyone does this and not everyone trains and completes events like this. So congratulate yourselves, take time to rejuvenate, don’t think about the next event just yet - enjoy and be in the moment.
We’ll celebrate soon! You are half-marathoners, endurance runners and a great group of people. Thanks for the privilege of coaching you.
Congratulations.
Cory
Endurance-A Sports and Psychology Center attracted a large number of visitors at Mills College Health Fair, in California, last week. Most of the visitors met Endurance Director Dr. Cory Nyamora and expressed interest in the half marathon training he is offering countrywide.
Dr. Nyamora, a USA Track & Field, and Triathlon Coach trained Endurance runners who were among the roughly 10,000 who competed at the San Jose Half Marathon on Sunday. The center also offers triathlon training for overweight children and their families.
Fit Family biking took place on May 3, 2015 on a beautiful trail at China Camp State Park in San Rafael. The biking trip, organized by Endurance – A Sports and Psychology Center, Inc., was sponsored by Trips for Kids. After every bike ride, the families receive lunch and information on healthy nutrition.
The bike trips are among the activities organized by Endurance to keep families fit and healthier. The other activities are swimming, running and triathlon. Healthy Hearts program at Children’s Hospital Oakland also sponsors these events.
Endurance Director Cory Nyamora and biking instructors from Trips for Kids supervised yesterday’s event.
The Director of Endurance – A Sports and Psychology Center, Dr. Cory Nyamora, was the chief speaker at a Rotary Club, in Walnut Creek, California, yesterday (May 5, 2015) evening.
Dr. Nyamora, a licensed psychologist as well as a United States certified track and field and triathlon coach, spoke about Endurance's work that supports individuals and families in keeping fit and healthy. Nyamora’s other passion is to enable Americans and others to visit Kenya to run or just enjoy the welcoming culture of Kenyans and the country’s many tourist attractions including the wildlife.
